Storm damage a roof insurance claim can cover
Homeowners insurance usually pays for sudden storm damage, like hail and wind, and not for a roof wearing out with age. Your policy and what the adjuster approves decide the claim.
Arkansas has no single statewide deadline for reporting roof damage. Your policy's notice clause sets it, so read that clause before you call your insurer.
Before you file a roof claim
Short answers on who to call first, your deductible, your rate, and what our help costs.
Should I call my insurer or a roofer first?
Either one works. The Arkansas Attorney General advises calling your insurer first after a storm. Lifetime Construction Builders inspects your roof free, the same day or next, and gives you damage photos to send with the claim.
Is it worth filing an insurance claim for my roof?
It depends on the repair cost against your deductible. Arkansas insurers can set a separate wind and hail deductible as a percentage; 2% of a $300,000 dwelling limit is $6,000. Lifetime Construction Builders' free inspection and written estimate show the cost before you decide.
Will a roof claim raise my insurance rate?
Ask your insurance agent; only your insurer sets your rate. Lifetime Construction Builders can't speak for it. What we give you is a free inspection with damage photos, so you know what the storm did before that call.
Does Lifetime charge for insurance claim help?
No. Lifetime Construction Builders helps with your claim at no extra cost; it comes with the repair or replacement. The roof inspection and the written estimate for the adjuster are free too.
A Farmers insurance agent on our claim help
Jon Speer, our sales manager, meets each homeowner and stays in touch from the inspection to the finished roof.
I am an insurance agent with Farmers. I worked with Jon Speer from Lifetime on getting a potential client of mine a new roof. He was very professional in helping get the roof approved to be replaced through the current homeowners insurance company. They were able to solve the customers need, and make them feel good about it. I recommend Jon and this company to anyone!
How our roof insurance claim help works, step by step
The roof insurance claim process has six steps, from your first call to the swept yard.
-
1
Call and book the free inspection
Call (501) 307-1440 and a real person answers, day or night. Your free roof inspection happens the same day or the next. If water is coming in, a crew comes the same day, within a few hours, for emergency tarping.
-
2
We photograph the storm damage
Our roofer goes up on the roof and photographs the hail and wind damage we find. You get those photos to send your insurer.
-
3
You get a written estimate for the adjuster
Lifetime writes up the repair or replacement and its price. You and the adjuster see the same written estimate, and the price on it doesn't change.
-
4
You file the claim, and we can meet the adjuster
You report the claim to your insurance company, which sends an adjuster to inspect for the insurer. Meeting the adjuster at your house takes one visit, and we bring our photos and estimate.
-
5
Your insurer decides what it covers
The claim runs at the insurer's pace. Its result depends on your policy and what the adjuster approves. Jon stays in touch throughout, so you know where the claim stands.

We do the approved repair or replacement
A full storm roof replacement takes 1 to 3 days once the claim is approved. Shingle roofs get Atlas shingles from an Atlas Pinnacle Pristine Authorized Installer, and the yard gets swept before the crew leaves.

Step one is a phone call, and the inspection is free.
Call (501) 307-1440 for a free inspectionWhat roof insurance claim help costs you
Your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible plus any work the policy doesn't cover, such as rotted decking or depreciation held back on an older roof.
Arkansas law (Act 471 of 2023) makes your insurer show a percentage deductible as a dollar amount. That figure is on your policy, so you know your deductible before the adjuster comes.

Roof insurance claim questions homeowners ask us
Here's what Arkansas rules and your policy say about adjusters, denials, deductibles, and older roofs.
Call us, answered 24/7(501) 307-1440Does Lifetime negotiate my claim with the insurer?
No. Arkansas doesn't license public adjusters, so no roofer may negotiate your settlement or interpret your policy. Lifetime Construction Builders documents the damage, writes the estimate for the adjuster, and can meet the adjuster at your house.
What if my insurer denies part of the roof claim?
You can cancel the roofing contract within three business days after your insurer says in writing that any part isn't covered (Ark. Code 4-88-904). Your payments come back within 10 days, less any emergency work. Jon at Lifetime Construction Builders stays in touch through that decision.
Will insurance replace my roof or only repair it?
Your insurer decides, from your policy and what the adjuster approves. Lifetime Construction Builders photographs the storm damage we find so the adjuster sees it. A full storm replacement takes 1 to 3 days once the claim is approved.
Can a roofer pay or waive my deductible?
Your policy makes the deductible yours to pay. Some roofing sites call Arkansas HB 1308 a ban on waivers, but that bill was withdrawn in April 2025 and never became law. Lifetime Construction Builders gives you and the adjuster the same written estimate.
How long does a roof insurance claim take?
The free inspection happens the same day or next; then the claim runs at the insurer's pace. Arkansas rules give insurers 15 working days to acknowledge a claim. Once it's approved, Lifetime Construction Builders finishes a full storm replacement in 1 to 3 days.
Is my roof too old for a full insurance payout?
It can be. Since November 2023, Arkansas insurers may require a roof schedule endorsement on roofs 7 years or older, which pays the depreciated value. Check your declarations page. Lifetime Construction Builders' free inspection shows the storm damage at any roof age.
How do I check that a roofer is licensed in Arkansas?
Ask for the license number and proof of insurance. Lifetime Construction Builders holds Arkansas contractor license RR0540591024, carries $1M general liability and $2M workers' comp, and has been in business since 2009, with an office on Market Place Avenue in Bryant.
